Anirudh's mass' number for STR
STR and Anirudh Ravichander were embroiled in the ‘Beep Song’ controversy before they collaborated for a song in the recently-released Rum. The duo has once again teamed up for their dear friends, Santhanam and VTV Ganesh. STR is making his debut as a composer in Ganesh’s production venture Sakka Podu Podu Raja, starring Santhanam and Vaibhavi Shandilya in the lead roles.
Now, STR has roped in Ani to sing a number for his debut album! Speaking to DC, Ganesh says, “There are five songs in the album and Anirudh has recorded the opening number. The recording session was wrapped up quickly as Anirudh had to go to London. This is a mass number and to see STR and Ani do this for me and Santhanam is overwhelming.”
Delving into the details of this number, Ganesh reveals that the tune of the introduction song was completed a month ago. “Since Ani was busy with his projects, we could record it only recently. STR has invested a lot of time to give a quality album and we will be shooting this song in the US. The speciality of this song is that we have used only live instruments at the recording,” he shares.
Ganesh also spills the beans that STR has recorded a song with his father T Rajhendherr for the album. “STR has completed five songs for the film and it has come out exceptionally well. Another highlight of the film is the love portion between Santhanam and Vaibhavi Shandilya,” he concludes.
