Sai Dhanshika is shooting for her upcoming flick titled Yogi Da (inspired by her character in Kabali) continuously in Coimbatore. A female centric movie and an action entertainer, Yogi Da is directed by Gautham Krishna.
Recently, action choreographer Ganesh shot a high-octane stunt sequence with Sai Dhanshika and few stunt actors. Sources say that a set resembling a nightclub was put up for the purpose. According to the scene, Dhanshika was supposed to take on the goons and thugs who were hiding in the club. Despite Gautham insisting that a body double be used for the risky action block, Sai Dhanshika preferred to do it all by herself. They even rehearsed a few times. While the actual take was on, all went well until one point when a beer bottle hurled at Sai Dhanshika was mistimed and hit her below her left eye. The lanky actress was injured badly and immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. She was given first aid and medicines to relieve pain. We hear that the dedicated actress attended the next day’s shoot despite her injury. And she has also reasoned out with the director that she would look natural on screen with a plaster under her eye and gel with the flow of the next scene.
