Sai Pallavi to romance Suriya
It seems Rakul Preet Singh, who was rumoured to be the front-runner for Suriya’s next film in a fascinating combo with director Selvaraghavan, is out of the race. Instead, the makers, Dream Warrior Pictures, have brought Sai Pallavi, the adorable ‘Malar teacher’ of M’town blockbuster Premam, on board. It is a known secret that Selva’s heroines would have a main stay in the script and Pallavi’s role will be no different. Moreover, Selva strongly believes that a script should demand a female lead and even considers the rest of the requirements only secondary.
Pallavi’s debut Tamil movie, Karu, in Vijay’s direction, where she essays a complex character with utmost conviction, is yet to release. She is equally busy with her Telugu film MCA and was recently roped in for Dhanush’s Maari 2. One may recall Pallavi’s reported interview a few months back, where she revealed that Suriya is her all time favourite. She had said in a lighter vein, “I have been a great fan of Suriya right from my college days. I never missed Suriya’s movies on the first day. I don’t know if I would ever get a chance to work with Suriya. But, I wish to meet him once and say ‘I love you’!” Suriya’s Thaana Serndha Koottam is hitting the marquee during the festive occasion of Pongal and the actor will join Selva for the shoot of his next in the third week of January.
