A film that made Rajinikanth laugh, cry and think
Rajinikanth is one actor who never misses the opportunity to praise good films and appreciates young talents. The latest one is that he took time off and watched Aruvi, for which accolades have been pouring in from all quarters. He had called debut director Arun Prabhu and said, “This is a film that made me laugh, cry and think about many things in life. You have a very big future and this film would be much talked about for years. A great job indeed.”
An elated Arun tells DC, “Superstar was talking to me over the phone for almost 20 minutes. He was all praise for the entire team and heaped laurels on us. I felt it was something greater than bringing international acclaims back home.” Meanwhile, Aruvi which was screened in smaller screens have been shifted to big screens in multiplexes owing to its demand and the number of screens in Tamil Nadu have increased despite it being the mid-term exam time.
