Ajith’s third consecutive film with director Siva, tentatively titled AK 57, started shooting early this year. The team shot some important scenes in Central European locales, including Slovenia and Bulgaria. The first schedule was initially planned for 40 days — but was wrapped up in 35 days itself, thanks to a high level of co-operation from the cast and crew.
Now, a source close to the team has revealed that the team will start their second schedule in Hyderabad during the first week of October. It is likely that Akshara Haasan, who has been roped in as the second lead, might join the sets for this schedule.
In other developments, actor Karunakaran has been roped in to play a significant role in the film. He will be joining the team October onwards.
Ajith plays an Interpol officer in this film, which has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander. Produced by Sathyajothi Films, this movie has Kajal Aggarwal as the heroine along with Thambi Ramaiah, Appu Kutty, Naan Kadavul Rajendran, and Lollu Sabha Swaminathan in supporting roles.
