Ram Gopal Varma is in  the news once again for his caustic remarks on Twitter about Superstar Rajinikanth. In a series of tweets, he has praised Kicha Sudeep after watching his recent movie Kotigobba 2 in Kannada (Mudinja Ivana Pudi in Tamil) —  and added that the former is a better actor than Rajinikanth and Vishnuvardhan! Naturally, fans of the Superstar are furious at RGV and it reflected on social media.

The Company  director went on to say that Sudeep should change his name from ‘Kicha Sudeep’ to ‘Rajini Sudeep’! “I just saw kotigobba 2 and I honestly think u should change ur name from Kiccha Sudeepa to Rajni Sudeepa” (sic), he wrote on Twitter.

RGV also said that Sudeep is a more versatile actor than Rajinikanth and has proven himself in many films. “But Rajni can do just only one type whereas u proved ur better versatality from Autograph to Eega to Kotigobba 2 to many more. U can any day do a Robot in ur sleep but Rajnikant can’t do a Eega even in his dream….Respect (sic),” he tweeted.

The Satya director even mused that Sudeep’s performance was superior to late legendary actor Vishnuvardhan, who did Kotigobba earlier — “Saw Kotigobba..compared to ur performance in Kotigobba 2 Vishnuvardhan looks amateur n if his fans disagree they also amateur.” (sic)

Sudeep politely tweeted back, ‘thanks for e appreciation sir....but I’m nowhere close nor a comparison to the two legends, Vishnu sir & RajiniSir’(sic) and put a full stop to the endless conversation.

While many fans of Rajinikanth ask RGV to visit a psychiatrist, one of the fans had said, ‘u can never be a sensible human in your sleep nor your dreams’.
Yet another said, ‘thank god filmmaking became digitized! All the FILM #RGV wasted would have gone as toilet paper!’
