Kadaram Kondan banned in Malaysia

The movie\'s distributor, Lotus Five Star, made an official announcement about KK\'s ban on their Facebook page.

Kadaram Kondan, featuring Chiyaan Vikram and Akshara Haasan in the lead and bankrolled by Kamal Haasan's home banner Raaj Kamal Films International, released opened last Friday to good reviews worldwide. But the movie, directed by a Kamal protege Rajesh M Selva, and the story set in Malaysia, has been banned by Malaysian Censors and did not have a release on July 19.

The movie's distributor, Lotus Five Star, made an official announcement about KK's ban on their Facebook page.

It may be noted that Vijay Sethupathi's Super Deluxe was also banned in Malaysia, causing dissatisfaction among Malaysians. Reportedly, Malaysians being Tamil movie buffs, traveled to Singapore to catch the movie in the theatres. And in all probability, fans of Vikram (he enjoys a good fan base in Malaysia), might opt to do the same to watch his Kadaram Kondan.
