After his Twitter spat with young filmmaker Karthick Naren over the film Naragasooran, it looks like Gautham Menon has opted out of the project. His company, Ondraga Entertainment, is conspicuous by its absence on the latest poster of the film released on July 19. Badri Kasthuri is the only producer mentioned for this Arvind Swamy-starrer.
Karthick has revealed, through a tweet, that Naragasooran has been granted a U/A certificate, and that it is 1 hour and 50 minutes long. He’s also said that a release date will be announced soon and that a trailer is on its way.
When Karthik first announced his second directorial venture, Naragasooran, it was Gautham Menon’s production house that was supposed to be backing it. Eventually, issues cropped up between the two, and Karthik ended up accusing Gautham of not providing sufficient funds and blaming him for delaying the project. Though Menon made an effort to clarify his position, it’s now evident that there’s been a falling out.
Touted to be a mystery thriller, Naragasooran also has Sundeep Kishan, Shriya, Aathmika, and Indrajith playing key characters.
