Sources reveal that the first ever zombie adult comedy Pallu Padama Paathukko, produced by Gnanavel Raja, was denied the censor certificate at the regional level for its explicit content. This was a break from the trend in which several controversial adult content films in Tamil like Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kutthu, Hara Hara Mahadevaki and more recently, Oviya’s 90 ML made their way to the marquee.
However, the source adds that after the adult genre film was not given clearance by the regional censor committee, the makers approached the tribunal board in New Delhi. It is reported that PPP has been awarded ‘A’ certification with sizable cuts and mutes by the tribunal.
Interestingly, this is Gnanavel’s third adult content film in a row bankrolled in his Blue Ghost Pictures banner after Hara Hara … and Iruttu Arayil. Balamurali Balu is composing music and features Dinesh and Sanchitha Shetty in the lead.
Vijay Varadharaj of Temple Monkeys YouTube Channel fame is making his debut as director. Comedian Sha Ra plays a key character. In an earlier interview Vijay had said “Don’t read in between lines. There are no inner connotations to the title Pallu Padama Paathukko as misconstrued by many. It simply denotes zombie pallu padama paathukko”.
