After the spectacular success of Vamshi Paidipally’s Oopiri in Telugu and Tamil, Karthi is on a roll. He has now been finalised for Mani Ratnam’s next Tamil film opposite Fitoor actress Aditi Rao Hydari.
Shooting for the film will begin as soon as Karthi wraps up his current Tamil assignment Kashmora. Confirming the news, Karthi says, “Yes, I doing Mani Sir’s film. Right now I am doing a supernatural thriller, Kashmora, on the lines of The Mummy. I don’t want to repeat myself as an actor.”
Karthi wants to go though the whole range of filmmakers. “My job is to do whatever I am asked to the best of my abilities. If I’ve done Madras I’ve also done the Tamil version of Rowdy Rathod. There I was completely and happily over-the-top. I just don’t want to let down myself or the audience.”
Karthi says, “I will continue to do the unexpected. When I did my first film Paruthiveeran in 2007 people, said you’ve done it all, what will you do now?”
