Bindu Madhavi, who was refraining from signing films for more than a year now, has finally gone on board for a Vikram Prabhu flick titled Pakka, which is directed by debutant Surya. Bindhu will play a rural belle in the film. Pakka also has another heroine Nikki Galrani, who has a slew of films in her kitty.
On Bindu playing one of the female leads, director Surya, a former assistant to Perarasu says, “I felt she would be apt for the role. When I narrated the script, she was happy and immediately agreed.”
The shooting of Pakka in progressing at a brisk pace. “The movie is set in rural milieu and is being shot in Kallakurichi and Thanjavur. You will see a new Vikram Prabhu in terms of looks as well as his character. He has never donned a similar role so far.”
On whether Pakka is a Tamil name, the director explains, “It goes well with the script. It is a slang and is used in villages, while measuring grains. Pakka is a full-fledged comedy entertainer.” He also claims that it will be a commercial masala movie akin to his mentor’s projects.
