Sivakarthikeyan turns producer to help his pals

He rose to stardom within a short span and his humble and hard working nature has been one of the main reasons behind his meteoric rise.

I owe a lot to the film industry which has given me the name and fame. I feel it is my responsibility to help my friends who were with me through thick and thin to realise their dreams. Hence I started my production company with the banner ‘Sivakarthikeyan Productions’ and bringing my schoolmate and close buddy Arunraja Kamaraj (who became an overnight sensation with the chartbuster song ‘Neruppuda’ from Rajini’s Kabali) to direct my first production venture,” revealed actor Sivakarthikeyan. He rose to stardom within a short span and his humble and hard working nature has been one of the main reasons behind his meteoric rise.

Talking about his decision, Siva says, “I am introducing my childhood friend Arunraja Kamaraj who would be wielding the megaphone. He is very talented and he had shown glimpses of promise as a director when he was just a student. When he narrated this script to me I was able to connect myself as I also hail from a middle class family.”

Set on the lines of an ambitious girl who is aspiring to excel in the game of cricket and her supportive father, Aishwarya Rajesh, who is going great guns, plays the lead with Sathyaraj as her dad. “The dreams and ambitions of the lead protagonist form the fulcrum of the movie,” he adds. While Ilavarasu sir and Rama play the supporting roles, for yet other interesting role that needed a handsome talented youngster, the Edhir Neechal star has roped in Darshan, who is his close associate too. Having commenced the film in Lalgudi near Tiruchy along with a formal pooja, Siva says, “I, Arunraja Kamaraj and Dhibu, we all studied in the same college and hail from the same city. And this makes the choice of location for the first day shoot very important.” The untitled film has Dinesh Krishnan as DOP and Dhibu Ninan Thomas as the music composer.
