Dhanush croons Marathi song for Ilayaraja
The multitalented Dhanush has proved his mettle as an actor, writer, director, lyricist, singer and producer. Recently, Dhanush got maestro Ilayaraja to croon a song for his upcoming flick Maari 2, a sequel to his earlier hit. It appears it is Raja’s turn now. Isaignani, who is scoring music for a Marathi flick, has reportedly asked Dhanush to lend his vocals for a song.
It must be noted Ilaiyaraja has scored the music for Dhanush movies including Balu Mahendra’s Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam and Balki’s Shamitabh. When Dhanush ventured into production with the intense film Amma Kanakku, he brought on board the Padma awardee. It may be recalled that Raja remarked ‘Dhanush is a better singer than him’ during the felicitation ceremony for completing 1,000 films at Mumbai when the latter rendered two of Raja’s hits on stage.
