Selvaraghavan’s Nejam Marapathillai is all set for a grand release, and the director has already started shooting for his next film, which has Santhanam as the hero. Several reports indicated that Regina Cassandra and Sai Pallavi were being considered to play the female lead in this romantic comedy.
But, the director has once again surprised us all by bringing in actress Aaditi Pohankar on board. When DC contacted her, she couldn’t stop gushing. “I’ve started shooting for this project at Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad, and have been enjoying the work so far. I am thrilled to see how the film is going to shape up,” she says.
After wrapping up the first schedule on December 23, the team will resume shooting sometime in January followed by the third schedule in the US.
A source close to the team reveals, “Despite comedy being Santhanam’s plus point, his character in the film is quite serious. Aaditi is also having the time of her life as she is enjoying Selvaraghavan’s style of working. Selva is very particular about what he wants from his actors and both Santhanam and Aaditi are following his instructions to a tee!”
Aaditi, who has now wrapped up the shooting of Gemini Ganesanum Suruli Rajanum with Atharvaa, says she considers Selva’s project as a great learning experience.
