Kazhagu-2 is a movie about a Chief Minister's helicopter going missing in a dense forest, and the search efforts that ensue.

The Kazhugu 2 team faced an odd predicament when they were mistaken for Maoists while filming a crucial gunfight sequence in the dense forest near Marayur village in Kerala. They found themselves surrounded by the police and members of the special task force.

Kazhagu-2 is a movie about a Chief Minister’s helicopter going missing in a dense forest, and the search efforts that ensue. The film’s lead actor, Krishna, is shown to be an expert in dealing with the wild dogs that impede the police’s efforts.

When the team was recently filming a fight sequence in the forest, the sounds of gunfire led locals to believe that it was a Maoist or Naxal training camp of some sort. When the police and special task force arrived at the spot, they realised that it was just a film shoot. But they saw that the guns were real and asked for their licences to be produced. The shoot was suspended for a while until the licences were obtained from a man named Raj in Chennai. It was resumed after the licences were submitted to the police.

Kazhagu-2 is being directed by Sathyasiva. The makers have roped in actress Bindu Madhavi, who also played a role in the first film in the series.
