Janani Iyer, who made her debut with Bala’s Avan Ivan rose to fame with her performance in Thegidi. The actress now has a busy 2016, with four movies in her kitty. Recently, the suave actress shot for Ultaa and CV’s production untitled venture back-to-back, without a break. Elaborating on her experience, Janani tells DC, “I had double call sheets for both the films — and I had completed Ultaa’s talkie portions that day. I really wanted to be this busy and I am glad that it is finally happening now. “
The busy bee will be resuming Thollaikaatchi’s shoot from this Friday and she will be wrapping up her talkie portions in three days. She further added that songs for all these three films are pending.
“I play a journalist in CV Kumar’s untitled production. My character is headstrong, independent, and has a clear idea of what she wants in life. CV Kumar’s films are usually script-oriented and when I heard the story from debutant director Rohin, I was surprised. I couldn’t believe that he is a newcomer seeing the way he works,” she smiles. Janani is paired opposite Kalaiyarasan in the film, and she adds that they both helped each other a lot during the shoot.
Janani also revealed that she has signed a movie with a big production house, as well as a prominent hero — and the official announcement will be made soon!
