Vinayan ropes in Ramya for supernatural thriller
Ramya Krishnan has been roped in for a bilingual Malayalam -Tamil horror comedy Akasha Ganga 2 even as the actress is awaiting her web series in which she plays the title role in a biopic of former TN CM Jayalalithaa.
Veteran M’town filmmaker Vinayan, known for his Tamil films like Kasi and Arpudha Theevu directs the movie, which is a sequel to his 1999 Malayalam horror film, a trendsetter with the same name.
Others in the cast include Siddique, Asif ali, Sreenath Bhasi, Vishnu Govind, Vishnu Vinay, Hareesh Kanaran, Salim Kumar, Arathi and Praveena.
A source reveals that Vinayan will be using extensive computer graphics in part 2 of Akasha Ganga. The film is being shot in Palghat, Pollachi, and Kochi. Popular Bollywood cinematographer Prakash Kutti, known for his ghost thrillers like Alone, 1920 London and Ghost, cranks the camera. The makers have planned to release the movie in September during Onam.
