Tumhari Sulu is Kaattrin Mozhi
ARR nephew to score music for film in which Jyothika reprises Vidya Balan's role.

Chennai Chronicle had reported first that Jyothika would be reprising Vidya Balan’s role in the remake of the Bollywood hit Tumhari Sulu. Jo will be essaying the role of an ambitious middle class housewife who turns a popular radio jockey presenting a late night relationship advice show. It was also revealed then that Radha Mohan, who gave the role of a lifetime to Jo in Mozhi, will be wielding the megaphone. Powerhouse performer Vidaarth will be playing her husband.
Sources inform us now that the title of the film is Kaattrin Mozhi and A.H. Kaashif, AR Rahman’s nephew, whose song from Lake of Fire got shortlisted for the Best Original Song at the 2018 Academy Awards, will be making his debut as the music composer.
The title Kaatrin Mozhi has been derived from the chartbuster song, which starts with the same line from Jyothika’s film Mozhi directed by Radha Mohan.
The critically acclaimed Mozhi was the last film Jo had signed up for at that time as she was to quit acting after marriage. And it was a significant one for the Magalir Mattum actress as her performance as a deaf girl made her a close contender for National Film Award for Best Actress, which she lost by a whisker.
Tollywood actress Lakshmi Manchu is also part of KM. She will step into the shoes of Neha Dhupia’s character from the original, playing the head of a radio station with stylish looks. Lakshmi has reportedly said she was particular that she wanted to look fashionable like how Neha was portrayed in the original, as she has done enough de-glam roles in the past. G Dhananjayan of BOFTA Media Works produces the movie.
