Radhikaa Sarathkumar’s mega soap Vani Rani where she plays the titular dual roles of Vani and Rani has completed 1,500 episodes and is still topping the charts. Recently, an event was organised where the serial artistes were felicitated.
Speaking about the challenges involved portraying a double role in contrasting characters, Radhikaa said, “While Vani is a noted criminal lawyer in the serial, her twin sister Rani is uneducated, but intelligent in her own way. In almost all the episodes both Vani and Rani would appear on screen. So, for each day’s shoot, I have to change myself in terms of looks, body language and voice modulation, which was a big task.”
