Cricketer Ashwin has heaped laurels on actor Vikranth, who hit a century in a recent TNCA league match. He scored 107 off 92 balls and led his team to a victory.
Ashwin tweeted, “What a man!!! And a timely knock for our team”. The reputed spinner was indeed impressed by Vikranth’s batting performance. Ashwin is the founder of a cricket academy called Gen-Next Cricket Institute, based in the city.
Ashwin took to its official Twitter handle and said “Santhosh, better known in TN as Actor Vikranth, smashed a swashbuckling 92-ball 107 in a must-win match for our team Vigneshwara CC in the TNCA 4th division league today. Well played, @vikranth_offl, hope this knock inspires the youngsters in the team to perform! Top quality!”. The actor in turn thanked the leading cricketer.
