Director Atlee’s upcoming film, which is tentatively titled Vijay 61, boasts a stellar cast of Vijay, Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menen, Sathyaraj, Sathyan, Kovai Sarala and SJ Suryah in significant roles. The first schedule of Vijay 61 is currently underway in the outskirts of Chennai.
A source close to the team reveals, “A thiruvizha set has been erected at the Adityaram Studios and the first schedule is being shot there. A song sequence and an action block were shot in this schedule including a few portions featuring Vijay and Nithya Menen. The first schedule will be wrapped up on February 27.” Recently, pictures of Vijay sporting a red shirt and dhoti went viral on social media.
After wrapping up the first schedule, the team will go on a short break. The second schedule will commence in the second week of March in Chennai. Reportedly, a new set will be erected by art director Muthuraj. Composer AR Rahman is said to be working on the score of Vijay 61, which is produced by Sri Thenandal Films.
