Actors and even music composers like GV Prakash and Vijay Antony floating their own banners and turning into successful producers, is nothing new for tinsel town. Recently, AR Rahman ventured into production with his YM Movies banner — and now, we have ace Yuvan Shankar Raja, who has launched his home banner. In line with his brand name, it is called YSR Films. And guess who has been roped in for his first production venture? It is none other than the queen bee of Kollywood — Nayanthara, for a female-centric film. The movie is being directed by Chakri Toleti of Unnai Pol Oruvan fame. Chakri has resurfaced now after going into hibernation, after his subsequent directorial venture Ajith’s Billa 2, didn’t perform at the box-office.
The movie has been intriguingly titled Kolaiyudhir Kaalam (Autumn of Murders). Incidentally, the name is inspired from a famous thriller novel, with the same name — authored by the late famous writer Sujatha. Going by the title, the movie could belong to the murder mystery genre. Confirming the news, a source close to the composer said that Yuvan will be the line producer for KK, which is being bankrolled by Bollywood’s leading producer Vashu Bagnani.
Also, Yuvan will be producing films in his banner regularly hereafter, adds the source.
