After years, actress Jayapradha will grace the screen of Tamil cinema in the film Yaagam, which also has actor-politician Napoleon playing a pivotal role — while newcomer Aakash Kumar and Mishti will be seen in the lead roles.
The director of the film Narasimma, who was an erstwhile assistant director of Shankar in films like I and Anniyan, in a chat, reveals how he managed to convince biggies to act in the film.
“Napolean sir first said he couldn’t act in the film since he was in the US and wasn’t into films earnestly anymore. But I requested him to listen to the script once and decide — and managed to make him come on board! Likewise, Jayapradha madam also said this would be the right film to make a comeback, and accepted the role,” the debutant director reveals.
About the film, he shares, “It is about good verses evil and also about the mother-son bond. Jayapradha madam is the key to the movie.”
