Director Muthaiah, known for a realistic take on his scripts, is all set to make his next film with Sasikumar, which is titled Kodi Veeran. Reports suggested that Hansika, who hasn’t signed any film in Tamil after Bogan, would be teaming up with Sasikumar for this rural entertainer. Now, we hear that Aishwarya Rajesh will be seen in a crucial role in this film too.
However, when DC contacted the director, he said, “Talks are on with a few actresses for the female lead, including Hansika and also Aishwarya Rajesh for a vital role — which is not that of Sasikumar’s sister . People are just speculating things and unlike reported in a few sections of media, it is not the same story, which I narrated to Suriya earlier.”
He also added that his first choice was Manjima Mohan for the village-centric movie. “Manjima would be apt for this film, but due to date issues, she could not come on board.”
But a source close to him tells us that Hansika is unlikely to be selected — since she may not suit the nativity specific subject of Kodi Veeran, which is set in and around Sivagangai. Notably, Aishwarya Rajesh has just signed another biggie — Gautham Menon-directed, Vikram-starrer Dhruva Natchathiram
