Vijay Antony whose last outing Thimiru Pudichavan was an average grosser has moved on to his next, intriguingly, titled Tamilarasan. “Oh, no! It has nothing to do with controversial personality Ponparappi Tamilarasan, a naxalite. But this is a fictional character who is rebellious in nature ‘, clarifies its director Babu Yogeswaran who gave Jayam Ravi starrer Dass and who returns to direction after 13 years.
Antony, who started his career as a music composer, had resolved not to compose while he acts in a film, which is why maestro Ilayaraja has been brought on board for the music in the emotional action drama. “The film has lot of emotions and background score is of utter importance. Except Raja sir no one can do justice to my script’s BGM. Hence, we opted for Isai Gnani,” the director adds.
Remya Nambeesan has been roped in to play Vijay Antony’s pair. “Remya is a great performer and her character has a lot of bearing in the script.” Ace Tollywood actress Bhumika Chawla, last seen in the 2018 Samantha film U Turn, has been roped in for a crucial character. She is paired with yet another Malayalam star Suresh Gopi whom we saw in Shankar directed Vikram starrer I a few years back.
