Chennai: An AIADMK cadre has approached the Madras high court to direct the makers of a recently released Tamil film Thaanaa Serndha Kootam, starring Surya, to remove certain lines from a song in the movie, which allegedly instigates ‘violence’ among people against those who are in power. In his petition, P.Sathish Kumar submitted that the lines veratti veratti velukka thonuthu, athigara thimira, veratti veratti velukka thonuthu in the song sodakku mela sodakku poduthu of the movie was defamatory as it portrays politicians and those who are in power in bad light. Such lines also instigates violence among the people particularly youngsters to revolt against people in power and politicians. Therefore, he sent a representation to the Commissioner of Police, Chennai to take immediate steps to ban the line from the song.
