Santhanam’s new movie Dikkiloona, a sci-fi thriller where the actor sports a triple role, went on floors with much fanfare. Santa, who has shed a few kgs, was seen flanked by his two heroines - Anaga of Natpe Thunai and Shirin Kanchanwala of Nenjamundu Nermaiundu fame. Dikkiloona is a term made memorable by the humour specialist duo Gondamani and Senthil in Shankar directed 1993 film Gentleman.
Directed by popular writer Karthik Yogi, who has written the screenplay for many films, the makers have brought on board several comedians including Yogi Babu, Anandharaj, Munishkanth, Shara, Rajhendran, and Arun Alexander. Ace cricketer Harbhajan Singh making his debut in Tamil is an added attraction. “Harbajan will join the next schedule of shoot,” revealed Karthik.
If sources are to be believed, Dikki… is said to be Santa’s one of the biggest budget films in his career, bankrolled by KJR Studios and Soldier Factory.
