Attakatthi Dinesh back with a rural comedy
Attakatthi Dinesh, who has been missing in action, is back with a comic caper called Kalavani Maapillai. Late popular filmmaker/producer Manivasagam’s son, Gandhi Manivasagam, debuts and wields the megaphone, besides penning the story and screenplay. While the heroine hunt is on, composer Raghunandhan has been brought on board for music.
Talking about his movie, Gandhi tells DC, “Appa has given several hits like Namma Ooru Poovatha, Periya Gounder Ponnu, Nadodi Mannan and produced them all under his banner Rajapushpa Pictures. I am reviving it now after 17 years and making Kalavani Maapillai. I want to follow my dad’s success formula of making a comedy commercial film. KM is a rural comedy and the humour is well embedded in the script and screenplay.” The film is set in Pollachi and its surroundings. How the hero gets entangled in problems despite getting a green signal given to his love, and whether his wedding takes place or not forms the crux of the story.
