Vishal called, I agreed: Arya
This is the biggest recent coup of sorts if filmy sources are to be believed! Vishal is said to have roped in Arya to portray the role of a villain in his upcoming film, Irumbu Thirai. Directed by debutant Mithran, yet another interesting aspect is that Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been signed on to play opposite Vishal in the film. While Yuvan Shankar Raja will be scoring the music, George C William will be behind the camera.
It is known that Arya and Vishal share a close bond, which grew stronger after they shared screen-space in Bala’s path breaking flick Avan Ivan, where they were seen as half-brothers always trying to outsmart each other. However, in Irumbu Thirai, Arya will play a role with negative shades.
When we contacted the Madarasapattinam actor, who was leaving abroad for a shoot, he confirms that talks are on — “Yes, it is true that ‘Vishy’ asked me to be part of his film Irumbu Thirai. It was a decision made by him. How can I say no to my close buddy, who would not think of anything other than the best to offer to me? It’s a testament to our friendship.”
He simply laughs when asked about his heroine for the project – “I don’t think I have a pair actually! But, I don’t know much about the script. It was just that he called and I agreed.” However, it seems Arya hasn’t signed the official papers yet. If all goes well, Irumbu Thirai will see Arya playing the role of a villain for the first-ever time in Tamil, though he has essayed something similar in Tollywood.
