Satna Titus, the lead heroine of Vijay Antony’s film Pichaikkaran, reportedly got married secretly to the film’s distributor Karthik a few days ago. Soon after the news broke, her mother spoke to the press and said that Karthik has forcefully taken her daughter and they aren’t married.
Now, an official statement released by the pair states that the couple entered the wedlock with mutual consent (not by force) at a registrar office. “Soon, with the consents of parents of both sides, we will have an official wedding in January 2017,” the couple has said.
Jai Akash turns distributor
Actor Jai Akash who has also tried his hand at direction turns distributor now. He will be releasing a crime-thriller Orutthal that has newcomers in the lead. Directed by Krishnadasan Jagadeesan, the movie has Senthil Jagadeesan and Gayathri playing lead roles and is about growing crimes against women. “I watched the movie and was very impressed with the way it was shot. It was a like Hollywood thriller sans songs and hence I came forward to distribute it,” says Akash.
Soundarya confirms separation
As we reported earlier, Soundarya, the second daughter of Superstar Rajinikanth confirmed the divorce proceedings with Ashwin through her Twitter handle. She wrote, “News about my marriage is true. We have been separated for over a year & divorce talks are on. I request all to respect my family’s privacy.” (sic.)
