Actor Kathir, who chose content oriented films like Pariyerum Perumal, Sigai and Sathru, has picked yet another interesting script titled Sarbath. Directed by debutant Prabhakaran, a former assistant of Balaji Sakthivel, the movie has Soori teaming up with Kathir for the first time. A new girl Rahasiya from Tollywood is being introduced as Kathir’s pair.
“Set against the backdrop of Dindigul, it is a full-fledged fun film and a family entertainer. Kathir plays an IT guy from a rural background who comes to the city for employment. Vivek Prasanna will be seen as his elder brother. Kathir comes to his native place to attend his brother’s wedding and encounters certain issues. How he solves the problem forms the rest narrated in a highly humorous manner.”
Ask him why Dindigul and Prabhakaran replies that he belongs to the place and was inspired by his real life experiences that he has made as a film. “The highlight is its live screenplay. Soori’s character is not restricted to comedy as he appears throughout the film as Kathir’s friend.”
Siddharth Vipin and Marimuthu appear in key characters. Bankrolled by 7 Screen Studios and Viacom 18, Ajesh, the Super singer title winner scores the music.
