Poorna is known to be game for any role if the script fascinates her. She least minded roles in which she had to tonsure her head or play a pregnant, hearing impaired woman. She portrayed a mother of two in a Telugu horror thriller film Rakshasi and won appreciation for her emotional character. The movie is being dubbed as Kundhi in Tamil.
The film has Kishore, Abhimanyu Singh who impressed the Tamil audiences with his performance as a villain in Karthi's Theeran and the two kids — baby Thanvi and baby Krithika — in key roles. Panna Royal has directed the movie.
Talking to DC, Rajaraja, known for writing dialogues for dubbed films, says, “The movie will be on the lines of Arundhati, Kanchana, Muni etc. Poorna's acting is the high point of the movie. Since it has extensive mystifying graphic works and the genre is a trend now, we want to release it in as many screens as possible no sooner the strike gets over.”
