Recently, rumours started making the rounds that actor/filmmaker SJ Suryah had proposed to actress Priya Bhavani Shankar on the sets of their upcoming flick Bommai, and that the latter had turned him down citing the age difference. However, Suryah was quick to react and denied that such a thing had happened.
He took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “Some idiots have spread the wrong news that I made a love Proposal to @priya_Bshankar and she rejected it .... she a very good friend of mine since “Monster” & sincere actress too that’s it .... pls don’t irritate and spread false baseless rumours ... thx ... sjs.”
The duo came together in last year’s blockbuster flick Monster. At present, the successful pair is working in Bommai, a psycho thriller directed by award-winning filmmaker Radha Mohan.
The news of SJ Suryah wooing Priya surfaced after the former posted a picture of the two of them on his social media handle, where the latter seemed to be posing as a bommai (doll), and described Priya as a combination of Simran and Trisha. He wrote, “Bommai .... Isn’t @priya_Bshankar looks like konjam @SimranbaggaOffc& konjam@trishtrashers?”. That was enough for imaginations to run riot and tongues to wag.
SJS hopes his clarification will put an end to the gossip.
On the career front, apart from Bommai, SJS is busy with Uyanrndha Manithan with Amitabh Bachchan. Priya’s kitty is full with half a dozen flicks including Indian 2, Mafia, Kuruthi Aattam and Vaan.
