Avantika who debuted with Vaandu, has bagged a power packed film titled Reel which gives more importance to the lead heroine. Directed by Munnusamy, who has worked with many directors including Lingusamy, the movie has Udhay Raj, a known face from short film circuit, making his debut as the lead.
Talking about his film, Munnusamy says, “The movie is set in Kotagiri and later shifts to Kovai. It’s a different kind of love story. I have brought on board TN Suraj, a popular writer in Malayalam who has done the screenplay for Reel. He has given a distinctive approach to it. The climax is totally unpredictable. Avantika has a strong role and she has done a good job.” Santhosh Chandra from M’town debuts as the music composer.
