Though his previous outing Iraivi did not fare as expected at the box-office, Karthik Subbaraj, the maverick director, has quickly moved on to his next, which has national award winner Dhanush in the lead. Sources say that Subbaraj impressed the Aadukalam star by narrating a quirky concept. The story is set in the US, and we hear that Karthik is on location hunt in the USA.
Atlee, who has teamed up with Ilayathalapathy Vijay once again after Theri, has also travelled to the US, since a part of his movie is being shot there. There is buzz that KV Vijayendra Prasad, noted screenplay writer and father of SS Rajamouli, has readied a subject with universal appeal and is ready to work with a leading Tamil actor, which will most likely be Vijay. We are unclear if Atlee is using this script for his forthcoming flick with Ilayathalapathy. Apparently, both the films are bankrolled by the famed production house Sri Thenanadal Films.
