Ask me with solid evidence' is how Bharathiraja reacts to #MeToo

Ace filmmaker Bharathiraja fumed when a scribe raised questions about his friend Vairamuthu, who has been caught up in the sexual harassment issue. He refused to talk about #MeToo but sort of came to the rescue of Vairamuthu.

At a press conference held in Sri Lanka, the veteran director initially said he would answer any question related to him and his profession of cinema. When one of the reporters said that his question on Chinmayi and Vairamuthu was also related to cinema, an irked Bharathiraja retorted in an angry tone — “You meet me, I meet you! What is MeToo? What is MeToo? Tell me? Are you a witness to any star misbehaving with anyone? You have only heard about it. I cannot answer speculative questions. If you have seen an incident and ask me with solid proof, then I can answer your question.” The director-turned-actor had also walked out of the venue in a huff.
