Gemini Ganesanum Suruli Rajanum, the upcoming film of Atharvaa, is awaiting release. “It is a rom-om where the hero, Atharva Murali, romances four actresses — Regina Cassandra, Aishwarya Rajesh, Pranitha Subash and Aaditi Pohankar, and can be called ‘Atharvaa’s Autograph’,” says its director Odam Ilavarasu.
Speaking to DC, he says, “The entire story happens in a day’s time, where Atharvaa, who is Gemini Ganesan, and Soori who plays Suruli Rajan, converse about their past. The story is Atharva’s romantic life when he was in his twenties.”
Is Atharva a playboy in the movie? we ask. Though the director turns evasive, he says with a smile, “Yes, sort of!” He asserts that the movie has nothing to do with the real-life personalities of Gemini Ganesan or Suruli Rajan.
“In the film, the hero’s dad played by producer T. Siva, is a fan of actor Gemini Ganesan, and hence he names his son after him. Soori is a sirippu villain from Madurai. Naan Kadavul Rajendran plays a crucial role,” Ilavarasu says. With music by Imman, GGSR is a silver jubilee film of Amma Creations.
