Thangaradham: A film inspired by real incidents
Vetri, who starred as a villain in Pa. Vijhay’s ghost film Strawberry and then played an important role in Siddharth’s Enakkul Oruvan, turns hero with Thangaradham. “It is a full-fledged rural emotional subject and I took training under my guru Muthusamy of Koothup-Pattarai school. I was blessed when Bhagyaraj sir appreciated the film as well as my acting,” Vetri says.
While Adhiti Krishna essays his pair, Soundarraja will be seen in a prominent role in the movie directed by Balamurugan, a former assistant to Cheran and Vijhay. Soundarraja, on his part said that he got this opportunity after Sundarapandian. “I play a short-tempered guy and brother of the heroine. It is an emotional character, different from my earlier movies. So far, I have acted in 20 films and this is the first time, I was paid that full remuneration that was agreed upon! It’s a double dhamaka for me as two of my movies, Oru Kanavu Pola and Thangaradham are releasing on March 24.”
Balamurugan said that he has made the film based on his experiences at the vegetable market in Ottanchathiram, where he owns a huge shop. The film’s central subject revolves around the protagonist who works in the market.
