Simbu announced that his next Vandha Rajavaathaan Varuven in Sundar C’s direction would hit the theatres on Feb 1. On the eve of the film’s wrap up, the Chekka Chivantha Vaanam actor has released a special video. In the video, Simbu has requested his fans to watch Vandha Rajavaathaan Varuven in theatres by buying tickets at counter rates and not to purchase black tickets for higher prices.
He also asked his fans not to indulge in erecting banners or his cut-outs. “Out of your (fans) immense love for me, you are erecting banners and cutouts during every film release of mine. I kindly request you to refrain from such things like doing ‘paal abhishekam’ to my banners, putting massive garlands and wasting money in celebrations etc. instead gift something to your parents or siblings, because they’re more important to you than me.” The actor has also told them to share their pictures of gifting.
Besides STR, VRV has Megha Akash, Cathrine Tresa, Mahat and Yogi Babu in the cast.
