Kailash set erected for Paandi Muni
A massive and expensive set for Jackie Shroff’s film Paandi Muni in Kasthuri Raja’s direction has been erected in the middle of a pond situated on a hilly terrain in Vettavalam village in Tiruvannamalai. Shroff will be seen playing a Shiva devotee and aghori and scenes involving him were shot in the huge stage sets for 15 days.
“We needed a place like Kailash (abode of Lord Shiva) where an aghori named Muneeswaran essayed by Jackie will be offering his rudhra pooja along with 400 aghoris. And this particular location belongs to a Zamindar spread across five acres with hillocks and water bodies. The stage of about 4,000 square feet was built with iron pillars and sheets. We also erected a 25-foot high statue of Lord Shiva and a bridge between two hillocks. It was a new experience for me as well Jackie Shroff sir,” recalled Kasthuri Raja.
