Kamal Haasan applauds Palli Paruvatthile
Palli Paruvatthile, directed by Vasudev Bhaskar, marks the debut of ace music composer Sirpi’s son Nandhan Ram. The film, which also has Venba (the girl who was lauded for her spirited performance in Kadhal Kasakkudaiah which released last week) in the female lead, is garnering lot of attention from veteran film personalities even before it could grace the screens.
AR Rahman, who unveiled the audio poster and watched sneak peek of trailer, has said that it reminded him of his school days and is keen to watch the movie. Sirpi was a keyboard player in ARR’s troupe many years back. Young Nandhan told us that Rahman also advised him to keep up his father’s reputation.
The movie is based on real-life incidents that happened during the director’s school days. KS Ravikumar has been roped in for the central character etched after the real-life personality, headmaster Sarangan.
Kamal Haasan, who watched the songs and trailer, said, “It looks like Vasudev has extracted the best from all artistes including my best friend KS Ravikumar, who has directed me in many films. I am looking forward to watch the film.” That said, Vasudev Bhaskar, who also bankrolls the movie, reveals to DC that being a noted technician, KSR, who was highly impressed with his work, returned a portion of his remuneration during troubled times. Veteran Bharathiraja said, “After a long time, I am watching a film with nativity subject in its true essence. It reminds me of my film Alaigal Oivadhillai.”
