The kids who acted in the national award-winning Goli Soda have grown up, and are acting in independent ventures now! While Sree Ram’s film, Paisa, was released last month and did decent business, here is Kishore (another lead from GS who won the national award), who has bagged the movie Edhir Kol, directed by Ayyanar.
Kishore, who was part of movies like Pasanga, Goli Soda, and Vajram, is now happy that he has turned into an independent hero. “I play to my age in Edhir Kol as a plus-2 student, and it’s about the bond shared by a son and his father. Actor Thennavan essays my dad. The story follows a boy who was discarded as useless, but rises to the fore unexpectedly. It’s a meaty role, and I hope I have pulled it off,” he quips. There’s also a romantic segment in it. Meghna plays the female lead, and essays a 10th grade student.
