Recently, an announcement about Sibiraj’s next, a cop film titled Walter was made with Anbarasan helming the project. It also created curiosity, as yesteryear cop movie Walter Vetrivel was a blockbuster of Sibi’s dad Sathyaraj.
Shocked with the announcement, popular distributor and producer Sinagaravelan has claimed that he was in the process of making a film with the same name Walter with Arjun and Vikram Prabhu in the lead and that he has the rights of the title and script. He said he was also upset seeing the other banner (of producer Prabhu Thilak) crediting the director Anbarasan whom he has committed to doing his film. He said the names of Gautham Menon and Samuthirakani were also part of the cast.
In the statement, Singaravelan has warned that he would file a case under copyright act against anyone who uses the said title and the script.
