West Bengal tourism minister Gautam Deb meets Rajinikanth in Darjeeling

Rajinikanth had left for Darjeeling a day before Kaala’s release for the shoot of his next film with Karthik Subbaraj. Recently, West Bengal tourism minister Gautam Deb had met the Superstar on shooting location. He had apparently said that Rajini had called chief minister Mamata Banerjee and she has sent her ‘best wishes’ to him.

Rajini expressed his awe of the place, saying, “I am surprised there are so many beautiful locations here but they have not been explored. Through this movie, the whole country will know this place. I am really so happy to meet lovely and kind-hearted people. I am going to remain here for 30 days for the movie shoot.” The Kabali star shooting for the first time in Bengal, also reportedly said that he was glad to be in the land of Ramakrishna Paramhamsa, Vivekananda, Subash Chandra Bose and Rabindranath Tagore.
