Actor Soundararaja is a happy man these days. He has a reason to rejoice! While even stars like Sivakarthikeyan and Vijay Sethupathi, who were longing to share screen space with ‘Comedy King’ Goundamani, Soundararaja was fortunate enough to get an opportunity. He is playing the second lead in Goundamani starrer Enakku Veru Engum Kilaigal Kidayadhu.
The young actor says he was scared on the first day of shoot with Goundamani, as the latter is known for his pranks and witty comebacks. “Goundamani sir is a genius. We can’t predict what he would say the next moment. Not only in films, he has the same speed in real life as well. His comical mockery is also intact. After a few days, he became jovial and friendly. It was my privilege to have shared the screen with him”, Soundar says.
On his co-star Rithvika he says, “So far, I never had a romantic pair in my previous films. Rithvika is a brilliant actress. You have to be careful while acting with her, otherwise she will overshadow you”. He also clarified about the controversy on stopping Ajith song at the after-party of Star Cricket. “No such incident ever occurred at all. I am a fan of Ajith sir. Vishal anna already cleared it!”.
Having turned a hero, quiz him if he would refuse accepting villainy or character roles, pat comes the reply — “I don’t restrict myself to hero, villain or character artiste. I accept characters that fascinates me. It is very important to be part of big films as it will reach the masses.”
