Actress Shirin Kanchwala’s forthcoming film has been garnering interest since its launch, thanks to the film’s producer Siva Karthikeyan. The actress has been paired opposite Rio Raj, a popular television actor and video jockey in the Tamil entertainment industry.
Shirin, who made her Kannada debut with Viraaj, will be seen playing the role of a TV reporter in the action drama, which has been directed by Karthik Venugopalan.
Talking about her role, the Mumbai actress says, “I play a serious TV reporter in the film. The director shared several real-world references with me in order to help me understand better how TV reporters conduct themselves. Even Siva Karthikeyan sir encouraged me a great deal, and I don’t think that I could have pulled it off without his support.”
The actress further said that she has now got a hang of the Tamil language to the extent that she can, in all probability, strike a conversation in Tamil if required. “I was given the script and my lines well in advance, so I had enough time to understand the language. My team helped me with the lines, and it was a liberating experience,” says the actress.
