Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja turned producer last year by funding Kolayuthir Kaalam featuring Nayanthara under his banner YSR Films. This film, directed by Chakri Toleti, is said to be a women-centric project with ensemble cast. We hear that the shooting of Kolayuthir Kaalam is presently underway in the locales of London. Yuvan is co-producing the movie with Vashu Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh for Pooja Entertainment.
Now, the film is all set to be remade in Hindi by Chakri himself. A spokesperson of YSR Films reveals, “It is true that Kolayuthir... is being remade in Hindi. We have sold the remake rights to the famous Pooja Enterta-inment.” Chakri has once again pulled a coup of sorts by roping in Prabhudeva, Tamannaah and Bhumika Chawla for the Hindi version.
Confirming the news, a source in the know tells us that Prabhudeva will be seen as the antagonist and that the actor had already started shooting for the movie in London. However, the cast of the Tamil version is still kept under wraps. Interestingly, this film will mark Unnaipol Oruvan director’s Bollywood debut.
