The self-taught filmmaker Karthick Naren (21), who made heads turn with his debut investigative thriller Dhuruvangal Padhinaaru and is presently wrapping up his next Naragasooran with Arvind Swamy, is all set with his third venture. It is interestingly titled Naadaga Medai with the tagline ‘the wacky drama called life’.
Talking to DC, Karthick says, “My first two movies had different genres and this one is about our take on modern day society from the perspective of two youngsters. Actually there are lot of lead characters and what they discover in life for the first time. In a way, I can say the story is inspired by my own experiences and what I went through.”
Though he has finalised his crew, Karthick is yet to announce the cast of Naadaga Medai. Sources close to the team reveal that, in all probability, Gautham Karthik and Kalidas Jayaram will be essaying the leads along with actor Rahman and Parthiban portraying crucial roles. Promoted as a light hearted comedy, the film has Ron Ethan Yohan as music composer, Sujith Sarang behind the camera and G taking care of stunts.
