Rakul Preet Singh was supposed to play the female lead in Mysskin’s Thupparivaalan starring Vishal, but she walked out citing date issues. Now, fresh from the success of the Telugu film, Dhruva, the actress is one of the busiest in T’town with nearly five projects in her kitty.
Recently, rumours were rife that the Yennamo Yedho actress has been approached to play the lead role in Sathuranga Vettai director Vinoth’s next film.
Confirming the news, Rakul says, “It is true that I have been roped in to play Karthi’s romantic interest. I will start shooting from March 2017 and I am eagerly looking forward to joining the team.”
However, Rakul became tight-lipped when asked about her role in the film. She adds, “It’s too early to talk about it, but I can guarantee that my role would be crucial to the story.” In an earlier interview, Karthi revealed that he will be seen as a cop yet again in this thriller.
The actress is currently acting in AR Murugadoss and Mahesh Babu’s tentatively-titled Sambhavami, a Tamil–Telugu bilingual. Actors Bharath and SJ Suryah play negative roles in this movie.
