Kottapadi Ramesh Krish, who has assisted Hollywood filmmakers, is making his debut in K'town with a sci-fi titled Version G-7 Saaga Manithan (Version G -7 a man who is immortal). Speaking to DC, the director says, “Pulwama attack is one of the deadliest terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir in which 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were martyred. The scars are too deep to be healed and that was my inspiration to come out with this theme. The story revolves around scientists and army men who work in tandem in creating an immortal man Version G -7 to combat terrorism and the repercussions they face when ‘he’ actually starts his war.”
Mohan Chakravarthy, Patrick, Rahman, Sangeetha, Tamizh, Aishwarya Lakshmi and Karthika form the main cast. The film, which has no songs, is being shot in Chennai, Rajasthan, Pakistan border, Himachal Pradesh, Mumbai and Andhra.
